TEN CONVERSATIONS ABOUT ONE THING
I’ve added on Vimeo a short video of the “Rumentario autoedule” installed in Como for Elettrosensi 2012.
Rumentario autoedule
In the “Rumentario autoedule” installation the Rumentarium electro-mechanical ensemble, made up of 24 acoustic generators, is coupled with audio analysis capabilities. Two mics capture the surrounding soundscape.
Retrieved pitch and loudness profiles are used to drive the orchestra. As the soundscape around is mostly (even if not only) made up of the same rumentarium, the latter reacts to itself.
I’m very happy to be invited to hold on Jan 18/19 2012 a couple of seminars at the Conservatory of Como, for the Elettrosensi cycle of this year. I will speak about audio physical computing, mainly showing a bunch of computationally animated rubbish. The “Rumentario autoedule” installation is included.

I’m very happy to be featured in the Computer Music Journal winter issue’s DVD dedicated to Live coding. Well, I’m presenting a video on “live writing” with the rumentarium…
Here the issue, the program notes and, above all, the video is publicly available here.

I’ve been invited by Roberto Dani to participate to the “Tempi moderni” event at Centro Stabile di Cultura. So, some rumentarium noise in Sunday 20 Nov (just two day after Rome!)
Tempi moderni
I’ll be at Scuderie Aldobrandini ven 18/11/11 for a concert dedicated to the preview of Quadratonomade project by Centopercentoperiferia. The performance (with rumentarium) is organized by Nephogram. I’m included in the exhibit with the Libro delle cento generazioni.

I’m honored to be invited at the next Generazioni elettroniche meeting in Gorizia on Nov 3rd 2011. I will speak about audio physical computing and presenting an installation that at the moment is still hyperuranic.

Thanks to Salvatore Livecchi, I held two workshops in Aosta, dedicated to Rumentarium on April 18th and on May 2nd to Sound Design (with Paolo Armao). Big fun!

Massimo Carlentini and his associates has organized the festival DI_Stanze in Catania. I have contributed on Apr 12th with a 4 channel version of Detti del tuono, and I have presented it via Skype.
