Minute di cronometria, Live

We opened our new lab at the Department of Humanities (StudiUm) with a concert dedicated to improvisation, called Macchine all’impronta. Great friends musicians participated and we did two of my pieces, Annuario telefonico (with Federico Marchesano, Stefano Risso, Luca Morino and Francesco Bianchi) and Minute di cronometria (with Carlo Barbagallo, Dario Bruna, Amos Cappuccio playing my electromechanical percussion setup, special guest Simone Pappalardo and Jean-François Laporte).
Impressive 360 video by Stefano Sburlati (do not open with Safari) here.

Imprudences Festival, Paris 10/06/16

Live at Imprudences
We’ve been invited with Simone Pappalardo to participate at the Imprudence festival in Paris, St Merri church, on June 10th 2016. Our Otosimbionte project focuses on feedback systems, so each of us brought his latest fashion bricabrac. Feedback pedals with relais and loudspeaker percussion for me, electromagnetic feedback operated percussion for Simone. Some pics here.

Ultraorbism: live in Tokyo

Marcel·lí Antúnez Roca’s multimedia performance Ultraorbism -featuring my live music- has been awarded at Japan Media Art Award and shown at the related exhibit. And so we flew to Tokyo to perform it twice at Instituto Cervantes on Feb 04 2016 .

Annuario telefonico out

Annuario telefonico

I’m very happy that my short album “Annuario telefonico” is out for Studiolo Laps. It features  a live realisation of the Annuario telefonico score for improvisers, played by me, Michele Anelli and Carlo Barbagallo at the Noise Delivery Marathon in Torino. Lucia D’Errico kindly offered the wonderful cover. Check the album’s page for the score.

Ultraorbism' setup

I’m in charge of music production for Marcel·lí Antúnez Roca’s new multimedia performance, Ultraorbism, a collaboration between Barcelona and Falmouth. And so, having fun in creating all sorts of bizarre objects to be played live.

Live at Border

I’ve been invited by Annalisa Pascai Saiu and Michele Anelli to play at Border, TO, for their Noise Delivery series. So, I tested this sort of Sho organ made up of 12 flutes. Worked fine! Here some shots by Isabella Indiesigh and a video excerpt.

Trilobiti and live in Latina

Trilobiti

I’ve finally put on line a video from the Trilobiti installation in Latina, for the festival “Le forme del suono” on may 24th. Shortly, trilobites is a population of radioclocks capable of sensing the acoustic environment and reacting to it. Here it is. Here a video from the amazing live gig with Simone Pappalardo and Franz Rosati at Circolo Hemingway in Latin the same evening. I’m using a live setup with radioclocks.

Live writing with radioclocks at TPA

I’ve been invited to participate to TPA, Torino Performance Art festival. Which is not a music festival, so I was the only musicians: an interesting context. I’ve played live with the Trilobites project (radioclocks), writing.

Synthi A

We played with the Institute for the Very, Very Nervous (Gandolfo Pagano, prepared guitar, Nino Secchia, percussion, Dario Sanfilippo, laptop) at Goethe Institut in Palermo for the Curva Minore festival. Our special guest was Thomas Lehn. We started with Cage’s Sculptures Musicales and ended with a great impro gig.
