I will be at “Le forme del suono” festival in Latina on 23-24 holding a SuperCollider crash course. I will also present the “Trilobiti” installation:
A population of 8 radioclocks, each one listening to the surrounding environment. When a sound is detected, each radioclock starts emitting a pattern deriving from the letters composing the word “telegraph”, translated into Morse code. Both listening and emitting happen through radioclock’s loudpspeakers.
To be premiered on May 24th, the day when Morse sent the sentence “What hath God wrought”.
A feedback system, you know when trilobites start singing, but not when they stop.
On 24 I’ll be with Simone Pappalardo and Franz Rosati for a gig at Circolo Hemingway, Latina.
I’m very happy to announce that my new (old) album Acta GeoGraphica is out for Ripples, that collects my electronic works based on the GeoGraphy algorithmic environment from 2001 to 2007. A special thanks to Ennio Mazzon is due.
On March 27/28, together with Stefano Bassanese, we organized a two-day seminar dedicated to Italian pioneer of electronic music Enore Zaffiri. In the occasion, we discussed his opus and dedicated him a concert with electronic and instrumental music. I played my reconstructed version of Zaffiri’ 1968 masterpiece “Musica per un anno” on four channels. Some shots here.

Massimo Carlentini and his associates has organized the festival DI_Stanze in Catania. I have contributed on Apr 12th with a 4 channel version of Detti del tuono, and I have presented it via Skype.
This night we will be with Amp2′s Hopeful Monster on Battiti, famous underground program on Radio 3, during a session dedicated to Musica Improvvisa. Let’s hear what they say…
I’ve been invited by Nephogram.net to hold a SuperCollider Crash Course in Roma. On the evening we will have some fun with Franz Rosati playing the Rumentarium and processing it.
