I’ve been invited for the second year by Stefano Maffei and Susanna Legrenzi to participate to the exhibit they curate for the Design Week of Milan at Logotel, called Invisible design. So, I’ve proposed Scripta volant, a small sound install that associates the act of writing to feather jumping through sound. A test video is here.
On a Cage concert at Conservatorio di Torino (“Changes of Music”) we will premier an automated version of Imaginary Landscape no. 4. Originally scored for 12 radios and 24 performers, as a collaboration between CIRMA and Politecnico di Torino we have implemented a SuperCollider/Arduino version that automatises it. See here for the whole stuff. Proud of the project and of the crew.

Fabio Sibio kindly extracted for me an excerpt from his beautiful video dedicated to the Making together exhibition for Milan Design Week. I’m saying something about machina logotelica installation here.

No Title Gallery has published the catalog of Passenger exhibit including Organo fonatorio, for free here. A video is now on Vimeo here.
I will be at ICMC12 in Ljubljana on 11-12 sept 12. I will present with Dario Sanfilippo the paper “Towards a typology of feedback systems”. The paper has received the Best Paper Award. Yai! Honored and proud. We will also present a paper + performance “Heterogenously-coupled feedback systems”, of course concerning the Bar Dot Project. We will present the Dark Store setting.

I will in Bassano from 30/08/12 to 01/09/12 with Organo Fonatorio, a sort of interactive loudspeaker driven organ for the Passengers exhibit, curated by Francesco Liggieri of No title Gallery, in the occasion of Infart Festival 6. Let’s see what happens!
The Quadratonomade project is host in the Conservatory of Latina from 22/05/12 to 1/6/12. The selected works include my Libro delle cento generazione. Thank you sirs.

In the same occasion, Susanna Legrenzi asked me to join the “Objects (in the name of love)” event chez Walter Voulaz boutique located in via Manzoni, an exhibition of affective objects. In the occasion, I will lend the exposition my fetish object, the Japanese tumbler toy that so well represents the music: “The composer makes plans, music laughs” (M. Feldman).

I’ve been asked by Stefano Maffei and Susanna Legrenzi to participate to the Making Together event, powered by Logotel for the Milano Design Week on April 17-22.
I will present the new “Machina logotelica”, an installation resulting from an assemblage of scavenged stuff (rumentarium style, ça va sans dire…), motors, hair driers, radioclocks. Custom hardware based on audio control will be used (thanks Guru Francesco Richiardi!)
Working on the Machina logotelica
We played with the Institute for the Very, Very Nervous (Gandolfo Pagano, prepared guitar, Nino Secchia, percussion, Dario Sanfilippo, laptop) at Goethe Institut in Palermo for the Curva Minore festival. Our special guest was Thomas Lehn. We started with Cage’s Sculptures Musicales and ended with a great impro gig.
Some shots here.
